Pricing for Edge-to-Edge Quilting

Our pricing is based on the total square footage of your quilt top. Currently we only offer Edge-to-Edge (E2E) designs, where a single, gorgeous pattern is repeated uniformly across the entire quilt.

  • Simple E2E (Large, Open designs like meander or loops) = $0.02

  • Medium E2E (Floral, Geometric, or moderately dense patterns) = $0.025

  • Dense E2E (Very intricate or small-scale patterns) = $0.03

Turn around times are within 1-2 weeks after your quilt has arrived in our studio!

How to Calculate Your Cost:

  1. Square Inches: Quilt Top Width (in) × Quilt Top Length (in)=Total Square Inches

  2. Quilting Cost: Total Square Inches × Price Per Square Inch=Quilting Cost

Example: A 60" x 80" quilt with a Medium E2E design:

60×80=4,800 sq in

4,800×$0.025=$120.00 (Quilting Cost)

Preparation and Service Policies

Please follow these guidelines to avoid additional preparation fees or delays.

Quilt Top Preparation

  • Pressing: Please press Quilt top, including seams so that it lays neat and flat.

  • Trimming: Trim all loose threads from both the front and back of your quilt top, especially dark threads on light fabrics.

  • Orientation: Mark the top edge of your quilt top with a safety pin if the orientation is not obvious.

  • Separation: Do NOT pin or baste the quilt top, batting, and backing together. Send them as three separate pieces.

  • Additional prep: We charge a $25.00 preparation fee if the top requires extensive pressing, trimming threads, or repair before quilting can begin. We will contact you before incurring this charge.

Backing Fabric Requirements

  • Size: The backing fabric must be at least 4 inches wider and 4 inches longer than the quilt top on all four sides.

    • Example: For a 60" x 80" top, the backing must be at least 68" x 88".

  • Seams: If piecing the backing, a 1/2" seam allowance is recommended. Press the seam open, and ensure the backing fabric is squared and free of waves along the edges.

  • Pressing: Please press your backing fabric so that it lays neat and flat.

Shipping

  • Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for all shipping costs (sending the quilt to us and return shipping to you).

  • Insurance: We recommend insuring your package for the full replacement value of the fabric/quilt top when shipping it to us. Return shipping insurance will be applied to your final invoice.

  • Liability: We take utmost care of your project, but we are not responsible for damage or loss incurred during transit.
